  Governor Jim Douglas toured three of the state’s southern towns that were heavily impacted during an ice storm on December 11, 2008.
• State Approves $165,000 To Help Famous Springfield Building
  The state has approved an emergency request for money to help save the fire-damaged Ellis Block in Springfield, the building that houses the Springfield Theater and which hosted the world premiere of The Simpsons movie in 2007.
